In the digital age, precise and reliable identifiers for research results are essential to ensure integrity, accessibility, and collaboration. Persistent identifiers (PIDs) play a central role in this by providing unique and permanent references for a wide range of digital objects. Now, aggregators, PID registries, citation databases, and infrastructure initiatives have the opportunity to actively shape the future of PIDs in Germany by participating in an important survey.
As part of the DFG-funded project “PID Network Germany,” we are conducting a qualitative survey to gain insights into the current use and future development of PIDs. Your expertise and experience are invaluable in developing a comprehensive roadmap for PIDs in Germany that addresses existing challenges and unlocks new potential.
Why participate?
- Help shape the future: Contribute to a national strategy that improves research infrastructure and data management.
- Share your expertise: Share your experiences from working with PID registration agencies, aggregators, citation databases, or infrastructure initiatives.
- Confidential & voluntary: Your participation is voluntary, and your responses will be kept confidential if you wish.
If you would like to participate, please contact us by email at info.pidnetworklistserv.dfnde by November 10, 2025, at the latest.
Thank you for your contribution to the further development of the digital research infrastructure. Together, we can shape a sustainable PID landscape in Germany!
